In Lofoten you find a very special part of the Norwegian nature. It is a group of islands in the county of  Nordland, and the area are 1227 km2. About 28000 people are settled in Lofoten.

Lofoten are best known with the steep rises against Vestfjorden, but you will also find large areas with cultivated land, and farming.

Lofoten are remarkable for the beauty of its scenery, and you will never forget the trip for instance from Fiskebøl. From Bjørnrå it will takes you about an hour, if you are in time for the ferry. The ferry berth you find in Melbu.

If you want a night stop in Lofoten, there will bee no problems. You can for instance try "rorbu" as an overnight accommodation.

Henningsvær are often called Lofotens, Venice. The reason are the channel in the town. In the harbour you will find bars, restaurants and small workshops.
